First Club Development Day of Fall Season is in the Books

Club Development Days for the Fall ’21 season have officially kicked off, the exciting festivals returned to Garden City and HBC on Saturday, September 25.

Last weekend, U7 (2015) and U8 (2014) players from sixteen clubs laced up their cleats and took the pitch for the first of three exciting festivals this Fall.

“Our club focuses on building skill and character through community. Club Development Day definitely aligned with our vision for what youth soccer is all about,” said Steven Navarra, Franklin Square Intramural Director. “Our players and parents had a wonderful time and can’t wait to participate in another festival of soccer”

The events carried over momentum from last season’s record-breaking turnout, with over sixty teams participating between the Garden City and HBC location.

“We found that these developmental days have been instrumental in mixing our separate intramural kids together, letting the kids train and play with kids they don’t get to work with every week and more importantly play against kids from other towns who may play with a different style or club culture than ours,” Billy Carrol, East Islip Soccer Club. “We are excited to participate and only plan to expand our player pool attending future events,” he added.

The excitement continues at our next two Club Development Days; Sunday, October 17 and Saturday, November 6.
