Spring Club Development Days Wrap Up

Largest Event in Program Existence

The season finale of spring 2021 Club Development Days on June 12th will go down as one of the most memorable events since the programs launch over 4 years ago.

Last weekend, more than 70 teams representing 20 LIJSL member clubs gathered at HBC Soccer Park to complete another successful season of Club Development Days.

Sunday’s event will go down as the largest participation at a single site for Club Development Day in the programs history. LIJSL would like to thank HBC for their tremendous efforts and hospitality, allowing this event to run seamlessly.

“The laughter and excitement around the field complex is what this event is all about, we are proud of how much this program has grown over the past seasons and want to thank all of the clubs and players that participated. We are looking forward to another great season of events for the fall of 2021,” stated Stephanie Hernandez, LIJSL Manager of Programs & Events .

Club Development Days, the cost-free program for U7 & U8 (born 2014, 2013) players, initially launched in 2016 with participation from 11 member clubs. Since its inception, over 8,000 players and more than half of the League’s member clubs have participated in the festival-like events.

“EMSC saw a great level of commitment from LIJSL and all of the clubs to provide a fun and pressure free environment,” said Hristo Kaloferov, East Meadow SC Director of Coaching. “The Club Development Days were an absolute pleasure to be a part of as you saw the excitement and smiles from the children.”
