The Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) held both the State Cup and Challenge Cup Finals on the weekend of May 31-June 1 at the Blue Sky Sports Complex in Middletown. Over the course of the weekend, three LIJSL teams finished as champions.
In the Challenge Cup, Merrick/South Merrick Sharks earned the BU10 Platinum title in a dominant 6-1 display. Babylon Athletico took top honors in BU10 Gold bracket with a 5-2 victory.
In the State Cup, Stony Brook LGN Tsunami were victorious in the GU12 age group with a resounding 4-0 scoreline. With the State Cup title, the Tsunami have earned a spot at the USYS Eastern Regionals, which will be played from June 28-July 3 in Loudon County, Va.
