On June 8, the third of three LIJSL Petro Home Services Club Development Days to be held this spring, won’t be the only event at Peter C. Collins Soccer Park in Plainview on that day.
The New York Red Bulls Youth Festival, featuring skills challenge stations, a gaming zone, DJ, and prizes, along with their highly entertaining Freestyle Crew, will co-locate on that date alongside the league’s very popular Club Development Day program.
“We are very excited to have Red Bulls Youth Programs bring their Youth Festival to Long Island this spring,” stated Steve Padaetz, LIJSL’s Director of Member Services. “It’s a perfect complement to our Club Development Day atmosphere, and further demonstrates the commitment of our technical partner, the New York Red Bulls, to our member clubs and their player-families.”
“We take the opportunity to work with the youngest players from LIJSL member clubs as an opportunity to share our passion, enthusiasm, and best practices surrounding long-term player development,” Red Bulls Academy Training Programs Regional Manager Jerome Vivona said. “We believe supporting the coaches, players, and families at these events is a great privilege.”
The LIJSL Club Development Day offers festival-style match conditions to member club’s U7 (2012) and U8 (2011) players and will run from 4-6 pm on that date. Interested teams and players coordinate their participation and registration for Club Development Days with and through their own clubs.
The RBNY Youth Festival will be open to all registered U7 (2012) – U14 (2005) players from LIJSL member clubs. The RBNY Youth Festival will run from 3–6 pm. LIJSL players that would like to attend the RBNY Youth Festival must register on site on June 8 with registration open at 2:30 pm.
There will be no cost for LIJSL member, clubs, teams, and players to attend either co-located event that day.
