Long Island Junior Soccer League

Hall of Fame Class of 2022, Now Accepting Nominations

The Long Island Junior Soccer League is now accepting nominations for the LIJSL Hall of Fame Class of 2022.

LIJSL is pleased to announce that it will be continuing its’ steady tradition of honoring individuals who have made significant voluntary contributions to the development of youth soccer, and to Long Island Junior Soccer League specifically.

“The league realizes it is the dedication of so many of its’ volunteers that makes the LIJSL the exceptional youth organization that it is. These individuals have spent many years promoting the game and improving the lives of countless numbers of children. The Hall of Fame was instituted to give recognition to these very special individuals,” Mike Clarke, Hall of Fame Committee Chair.

Hall of fame candidates may be nominated by any member club in good standing, or by any individual who is a member of the league in good standing.

“We have 119 members and are relying on our clubs to nominate an individual who has made exceptional contributions to the League, their club, and players,” Clarke added.

All applications for induction must be e-mailed to communications@lijsoccer.com and received by no later than December 17, 2021. Selected nominees will be advised of their selection in the early part of 2022, with a formal induction ceremony to be held in the spring.

As the program was placed on pause during pandemic, nominations submitted from 2019 and 2020 do not require a re-submission, they will automatically be reviewed by the committee. View the complete Hall of Fame guidelines here.
