USYS League Championship Playoffs Complete, Two LIJSL Teams Advance to USYS Eastern Regionals
Two LIJSL teams have advanced to the USYS Eastern Regionals after winning their respective USYS League Championship playoff matchups on May 21st and 22nd.
After a weekend filled with intense competition against some of the most talented teams on the east coast, LIJSL is excited to announce that Massapequa SC had two teams advance to the USYS Eastern Regionals after winning their playoff games in Midlothian, Virginia.
“The weekend was brilliant, a well-run championship. Great facilities and solid competition,” said Shaun Foster, Massapequa Warriors Coach.
Both the Massapequa GU18 Fury and BU18 Warriors finished first place in their playoff bracket.
The Massapequa Fury defeated FC Frederick 03 Girls (CCL) in a tight 2-1 battle. On the boys side, the Massapequa Warriors shut out FC Frederick 03 Boys with a 1-0 victory.
The next stop for these two teams is the 2021 US Youth Soccer Eastern Regional Championships on June 25 – July 1 in Hammonton, NJ.
