Long Island Junior Soccer League

Three New Members Joined The LIJSL Hall Of Fame On April 6

The Long Island Junior Hall of Fame grew on Sunday, April 6 with the addition of three new members. Mike Lombardi, Michael Saint Laurent, and Gina Titus were honored during an induction ceremony at the Stonebridge Country Club in Smithtown.

Lombardi has contributed to the West Islip Soccer Club for the past two decades and has served as Club President for the past 12 years. Saint Laurent has served as the Central Islip Club President for the past 15 years and has played the role of mentor for many of the club’s players over his tenure. Titus played a huge role in the Three Villages Soccer Club, now known as Stony Brook LGN Soccer Club, for over 30 years, spending 15 of those as the club’s co-registrar. She has also served the LIJSL in different roles, including sitting on the LIJSL Convention Committee for 15 years.

With over 100 people in attendance of friends and families, past LIJSL Hall of Fame recipients, and current LIJSL Board Members, all three new inductees received their plaques and Hall of Fame blazers. After the ceremony, all attendees enjoyed brunch.

“The LIJSL Hall of Fame event is always wonderful as it brings the League’s past and present together,” LIJSL President Andrew Seabury said. “So many amazing people have contributed to the League’s success as we near a 60th anniversary and the Hall of Fame ceremony allows us to reflect on all the past success and continue to honor those that have gone above and beyond to make LIJSL what it is today. All three inductees are incredibly deserving and their communities as well as the League as a whole thank them for their longstanding effort and contributions.”
