Three Long Island legends will be sharing their soccer knowledge this year at the 37th annual LIJSL convention.
Former New York Cosmos goalkeeper and MSG Networks commentator Shep Messing, former Adelphi men’s soccer coach and New York Red Bulls Academy director Bob Montgomery, and former MLS and U.S. men’s national team player and current New York Red Bulls head coach Chris Armas will take part in a panel discussion on Saturday, March 9, 3pm in Salon D at the Long Island Huntington Hilton to speak about the future of soccer.
“Each of the panelists gives a unique perspective from their experiences in the game, from playing to coaching to broadcasting,” LIJSL Technical Director Ronan Wiseman said. “Given that they have grown up on Long Island and remain local, it will be a very relevant conversation for our current coaches and players.”
