Soccer in the United States is slated to have a big year in 2026 with the FIFA World Cup being hosted in North America, as well as the Final being held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Next year is also a big year for the Long Island Junior Soccer League, which will be celebrating a 60th anniversary.
With the enthusiasm around the global game, the LIJSL Convention is making a return for the first time since 2019 and will be at the Long Island Huntington Hilton from February 27-March 1.
The upcoming LIJSL Convention will be the 38th annual event. The previously scheduled 38th Annual LIJSL Convention had to be canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We have been overwhelmed with the support and enthusiasm to bring back the LIJSL Soccer Convention for 2026,” LIJSL President Andrew Seabury said. “To be able to revive one of the largest youth soccer conventions nationwide, for our 60th anniversary, and for it to coincide with the World Cup hosted in the USA, is something that’s really exciting for the League.”
More details on the Convention will be coming soon.
