LIJSL Announces Hall Of Fame Class Of 2025

The Long Island Junior Soccer League is excited to announce three new members to the LIJSL Hall of Fame. The Class of 2025 that will be inducted this spring includes Mike Lombardi, Michael Saint Laurent, and Gina Titus. All three will be honored at a ceremony on April 6 at Smithtown Stonebridge Country Club.

Saint Laurent has served as the Central Islip Club President for the past 15 years, where he has been a champion of youth in the area. He has helped ensure kids of all backgrounds and means have been able to participate in the club’s soccer program. Additionally, he can be seen on the touchline on weekends, coaching three to four teams each season. Saint Laurent has contributed equally away from the field as a mentor for players around the club. His efforts are helping to change the present and future of players in the Central Islip Soccer Club.

Lombardi has been making an impact for the West Islip Soccer Club for the past two decades, serving in different roles on the board and in committees for the club. During the past 12 years, he has served as Club President. During his tenure within the club, he has fostered the growth of club events, including the Adam Novellano Memorial Indoor Tournament and the Long Island Soccer Classic. Lombardi has played a key role in growing the club’s High Flyers program, which has developed into one of the largest programs for special needs children on Long Island. Another key area of focus has been refereeing where he has developed and written a curriculum for the club’s referees and can be seen refereeing LIJSL and high school games.

Titus has been an integral part of the Three Villages Soccer Club, now known as Stony Brook LGN Soccer Club, for over 30 years. She also served as the club’s co-registrar for 15 years and also sat on the board for 14 years. From 2001-2012, she chaired the Long Island Soccer Shoot-Out tournament, where over 200 teams participated on the grounds of Stony Brook University. Titus has helped spearhead the growth of the recreational Long Island Ladies Soccer League, which is now over 65 competing teams. She has also been involved within LIJSL in a variety of roles, serving as a division coordinator and supervisor as well as being on the LIJSL Convention Committee for 15 years.
