3 LIJSL Academy Teams Compete For National Title At Super Y League Finals

The LIJSL Academy is all set for a run at a national title at the Super Y League National Finals. Three teams (U12, U13, and U15 Girls) will be vying to be crown champions in Tampa, Fla. from December 9-13.

A run for the national title comes after a strong second season in the Super Y League for the LIJSL Academy. Both the U12 (7W-0L-1D) and U15 (5-0-1) squads led the North Atlantic Division with unbeaten records to reach the national stage. The U13 group finished in second, posting a record of 3-1-1. The U15 also posted an incredible defensive record, allowing just one goal during division play.

“I think it’s great to see the progress of the LIJSL Academy from having one team at Nationals last year to having four teams qualify this year with three of them making the trip to Tampa this weekend,” LIJSL Academy Director Ronan Wiseman said. “It’s a testament to the hard work of the coaches and players that they put in throughout the season. We wish them the best of luck and hope to see them return as National Champions.”
