Long Island Junior Soccer League

2021 Spring Season Kicks Off

Last weekend, over 1,400 teams launched their spring 2021 campaign with the completion of Week 1 in league play.

“We are very excited about the start of the soccer season,’ said Joe Camarda, Rocky Point Soccer Club President. ‘The players, coaches, and families have been patiently waiting. It’s great to see everyone back on the field enjoying this great game.”

As LIJSL moves into Week 2, it is important that all parties related to the game; players, coaches, referees, and spectators continue to follow LIJSL Remain to Play protocols. The successful Fall ’20 season, which included the completion of more than 5,400 league games, relied on the compliance and support of these protocols as a league, collectively.

“After a very long winter, it was fantastic to see all of our players back outside and enjoying the game that they love,” said Russ Bank, Plainview Old Bethpage Club President. “I look forward to the successful start this past weekend continuing for the duration of the spring and that all players across Long Island have a safe and healthy season.”
