Spring 2019 Schedule Unveiled For Club Development Days

Marking its sixth installment, the Petro Home Services Club Development Days will once again return to Peter C. Collins Soccer Park this spring. The Club Development Days are open to all LIJSL member clubs.

The program is for U7 (2012) and U8 (2011) players and provides a platform of fun, while fostering growth of technique in a festival format. The program has grown to be a staple in LIJSL member clubs’ seasonal developmental plans.

The Club Development Days are at no cost for participating clubs, and each team gets to play in at least three separate match conditions during the event.

“We want these kids to fall in love with the game to go back and train with their clubs, play games with their clubs, and continue to play the game for as long as possible,” LIJSL Technical Director Ronan Wiseman said. “That’s what we want to foster at this age.”

There will be three Club Development Days this spring hosted by LIJSL. The dates can be seen below:

  • Saturday, April 13, 4-6 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 19, 4-6 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 8, 4-6 p.m.

“It’s really unbelievable how it’s a great opportunity for these kids to get together and have a great time,” said Brian Wood, POB VP of Boys Intramurals. “They all smile and it really makes it enjoyable for me as a coach.”
