After a long-awaited pause, LIJSL is excited to announce dates for fall 2020 Club Development Days (CDD).
The festival-style events are offered to U7 & U8 (2014, 2013) players that are ENYYSA/LIJSL registered and insured. Club Development Days come at no cost to member clubs.
“We want these kids to fall in love with the game to go back and train with their clubs, play games with their clubs, and continue to play the game for as long as possible,” LIJSL Technical Director Ronan Wiseman said. “That’s what we want to foster at this age.”
Teams that participate can expect three (3) separate match conditions resulting in a total of 90 minutes.
The fall 2020 Club Development Days are the following:
- Saturday, October 17th 4pm to 6pm
- Saturday, November 14th 2:30pm to 4:30pm
Following NYS reopening guidelines, LIJSL has decided to organize these events geographically, previous Club Development Days have been hosted at one site (Peter C. Collins Soccer Park).
Fall 2020 Club Development Days will be hosted at the following satellite locations this season:
- John J Burns Park, 4990 Merrick Rd., Massapequa Park, NY 11762
- HBC Soccer Park, 212 Old South Path, Huntington Station, NY 11746
- St. Paul’s School, 295 Stewart Ave., Garden City, NY 11530
Due to the geographic organization, space will be limited.
LIJSL would like to thank Massapequa Soccer Club, HBC Soccer Club, and Garden City Soccer Club for hosting the fall 2020 Club Development Days at their facilities. Participating teams MUST follow the hosting club COVID-19 protocols for both of the events.
Teams interested in participating should contact their club representatives (President, Registrar, Director of Coaching) to have a registration form completed.
