Goalscorer’s instinct.
That’s exactly what LIJSL Academy’s Gabriella Coumaras showed throughout the USL Season. In eight games, Coumaras scored 26 goals to lead the nation at the U10 Girls age group this summer and earn the Golden Boot. Her tally is also the most by any player in USL Youth play during the 2026 season.
“It’s a great accomplishment by Gabriella to not only be the Golden Boot winner in her age group but also to have scored the most goals across all age groups in the entire country,” LIJSL Academy Director Ronan Wiseman said. “Congratulations to her and we’re looking forward to watching her score many more goals in the coming seasons.”
The U10 Girls LIJSL Academy team, coached by Tyler Fernandes, finished the summer with a second-place finish in the North Atlantic Division.
“When speaking about Gabriella Coumaras words come very easy,” Fernandes said. “Gabriella is a very talented individual in many aspects and has a natural ability to find the back of the net. She finds herself in the correct positions in any given moment. She is truly one of the kindest, most coachable athletes I have had the pleasure to work with. I am very excited to watch Gabriella in her journey as an athlete!”
