He takes it upon himself to provide exceptional support and service to the new and current Middle Country Children’s Soccer League Board members, coaches, trainers, churches, community organizations, schools and other soccer club organizations. For example, James approved sponsorship of Hobbs Farm. James has coached two travel teams from Under-9 to Under-19, winning two divisions and at least four LIJSL Sportsmanship awards.
He worked with the LIJSL to secure fields for LIJSL Academy tryouts. James is helpful, caring, resourceful and happy to offer service no matter the task. For example, James takes his time out of his busy schedule to record all Super Y-League games for LIJSL parents and for the varsity high school games for the coaches and parents so they may use for their child’s highlight videos for college. He provides the parents and soccer players with resourceful information about College ID camps and scholarships.
To confirm his commitment to serving the league and community, James has implemented professional training sessions for intramural players. He opened up intramural to 3-year olds under the banner “Micro Minis” to encourage parents to keep all players in-house plus established a TOPSoccer program. James has worked with National Honor Society students for them to earn community service hours and has written college recommendation letters for players as well as fostered relationships as a mentor to many players.
Congratulations to James Malone, our 2021 Administrator of the Year!
