The Elite Clubs Alliance League (ECAL) is growing for 2026. After a successful first season in 2025, for boys and girls in the U11-U12 age groups, the competition is expanding. The competition will now have U9-U13 divisions.
“Expanding the age groups in ECAL provides a great opportunity for more clubs to compete for the experience of playing in the IberCup, something they will never forget,” LIJSL Technical Director Ronan Wiseman said.
Winning ECAL comes with a great reward with qualification to IberCup in Cascais, Portugal. The only expense for qualifying teams is the flight to and from Portugal. During the stay in Portugal, free accommodation, three meals a day, and transport to and from the airport as well as to and from the tournament site are included.
“Going to the IberCup not only gives the players a great soccer experience but also a great multicultural experience,” Wiseman said. “Not only will the players interact with the local Portuguese teams, they will have interactions with teams from all over the world.
In 2025, the Commack Crush became the first team through ECAL to participate at IberCup.
ECAL is open to LIJSL and non-LIJSL teams and the competition is self-scheduling. All games must be played by April 1, 2026.
Registration for ECAL is now open and can be accessed by clicking below.
