Long Island Junior Soccer League

Another Bright Evening At Under The Stars Game For TOPSoccer Athletes

Bright lights. An even brighter moment.

Almost 50 TOPSoccer athletes gathered on Sunday, November 1 to take part in the Under The Stars game at Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School. The game continues to be an incredible highlight in the LIJSL Fall Season programming with representation from clubs all around the LIJSL community, including Plainview-Old Bethpage, New Hyde Park, Smithtown, Sachem, HBC, Valley Stream, and West Hempstead.

During the evening, players featured in three small- games before the exciting conclusion across the full field. As ever, the joy and passion for the game was displayed throughout the night.

LIJSL would like to thank Plainview-Old Bethpage for their collaboration in hosting the event as well as Long Island Soccer Officials sending a pair of referees and to Bruce Laker, American Challenge President, who donated soccer balls for each player to take home.

“Under the stars is one of the league’s brightest events,” LIJSL Programs and Events Manager Stephanie Hernandez said. “The event continues to grow, next year we may have to move to a bigger venue. A special thank you to all the parents that came out to support this wonderful evening. We are already looking forward to next year’s event and hope to see everyone in the Spring for the LIJSL Friendship Cup Tournament and Family BBQ.”
