Two LIJSL Academy Teams Receive Automatic Bid To Electrolit USL Youth Finals

The USL Youth regular season has come to a close and now attention turns to preparing for the Electrolit USL Youth Finals for a pair of LIJSL Academy teams.

Both the U12 Boys-Team 2 (6-0-0), coached by Jorey Garcia, and U15 Boys (7-0-1), coached by James Timmons, finished at the top of their group in the North Atlantic Division and have received automatic bids to the Finals, which will take place at the Hillsborough County Tournament Sportsplex, in Tampa Fla., on December 13-17.

“I would like to say that, I am incredibly proud of our team for earning a bid to Nationals,” Garcia said. “Our journey began last year with an undefeated season, and this year, we’ve repeated that remarkable achievement again with another undefeated season. Now, we have the exciting opportunity to compete at the USL National Finals. We will prepare during the fall to have a strong performance in December.”

Additional LIJSL Academy teams may receive bids to Florida, which will be announced later in September.

Over the course of the USL Youth season, two other LIJSL Academy teams finished atop of their group – U11 Boys-Team 1 (7-1-0) and U11 Girls-Team 1 (8-0-0). USL Youth, however, doesn’t currently have a Finals bracket for the age group.
