With the start of the spring season in five weeks, the Long Island Junior Soccer League, the largest youth soccer league in New York State, finalized and released its (official) division alignments for its upcoming regular league play season.
Amid its 56th seasonal year, following a robust fall season, League based match play resumes for the spring, with competition for 1,400 boys and girls teams, in the Under 9 through Under 19 (2016 – 2003) age groups. To access the Spring 2022 Final Division Alignments, please click here.
“With nearly 1,600 boys and girls travel, premier, and tournament teams fielding under the League banner, as well as our club-focused recreational and developmental programming for players six thru 15 years of age, we are extremely excited as we approach the start of the spring season,” LIJSL Managing Director Steve Padaetz said.
“We are especially thrilled to see the return of the LI Cup for all our travel teams this spring,” Padaetz added. “Competition in the LI Cup, the largest single-elimination youth soccer cup, will kick off the League’s spring calendar, with the first round of play on the weekend of March 19 -20.”
More details on this year’s LI Cup, including brackets, are soon to follow.
