The Long Island Junior Soccer League has announced a plan to expand the footprint of its Academy program and youth soccer in the eastern portion of Long Island by introducing the LIJSL Academy East.
“Introducing the Academy East to players in eastern Suffolk County will be great exposure and present some great opportunities for players in the area. Some players don’t necessarily have access to elite-level training for various reasons, so we, at the league, want to try to provide developmental opportunities and pathways for players all across Long Island. We think this program will provide that,” said Ronan Wiseman, LIJSL Technical & Academy Director.
Long Island Junior Soccer League has partnered with Manorville Soccer Club under the common goal of providing the highest level of training for players residing in eastern Long Island.
“Manorville Soccer Club is excited to partner with LIJSL in launching Academy East,” said Christina Starr, Manorville Soccer Club President. “Looking at the numbers, it is evident that the soccer population in eastern LI has surged over the years, especially following the past year under COVID. We are looking forward to growing and fostering the love of the game here on the East End”, Starr added.
The LIJSL Academy East, launching in the spring of 2021, is an economical-friendly program priced at only $295.
The program offers the following for boys and girls born in 2012 thru 2007 (U9 to U14)
- Two (2) Tryout/ ID Sessions
- Ten (10) Training sessions with nationally licensed coaches
- Hudson Valley, N.Y. summer tournament (July 17-18)
