2019 Tryout Information
All tryouts will be held at the Peter C. Collins Soccer Park in Plainview on June 24th and August 4th. You do not need to be available for all tryout dates, however we encourage players to attend as many tryout sessions as possible so we can make the best and most complete assessment of your skills. Specific times for each age group are as follows:
2018-2019 DEVELOPMENTAL TEAMS (2009 and 2010):
- June 24th and August 4th – 9:00-10:30am – BOYS and GIRLS
2018-2019 PDP Tryouts
- June 24th and August 4th
- 2008 Boys and Girls: 10:30am-12:00pm
- 2007 Boys and Girls: 12:00-1:30pm
- 2006 Boys and Girls: 1:30-3:00pm
- 2005 Boys and Girls: 3:00-4:30pm
- 2004 Boys and Girls: 4:30-6:00pm
- 2003, 2002 & 2001 Boys and Girls: 6:00-7:30pm
You will receive your tryout number at the field. You must arrive 15 minutes early to allow for check in.
All player tryout groups are based on their birth year.
DIRECTIONS TO PETER C. COLLINS SOCCER PARK: The Soccer Park is located at the Old Country Road boundary of the Plainview Business Complex, the address is 1425 Old Country Road. Exit the LIE at Round Swamp Road (south) and continue to intersection of Old Country Road. Bear right onto Old Country Road. Go to 2nd light and turn into the Plainview Office complex entry road. At top of road there is parking on the right and left.

Before you decide to tryout please be aware of the minimum commitment that will be expected of you as a PDP player.
Outdoor training will begin in April and will consist of at least one compulsory practice each week. The compulsory practice will take place on Monday evenings with a second practice added in June and July.
All players MUST ATTEND the LIJSL PDP Camp and be available to participate in several tournaments, scrimmage days, and trips.
The PDP season will run until the end of the summer tournament schedule.
IF YOU AND YOUR FAMILY DO NOT FEEL ABLE TO COMMIT TOTALLY TO ALL OF THE ABOVE WITHOUT EXCEPTION PLEASE DO NOT TRYOUT.
You should also be aware that the registration fee for this program is $975 for the year.
Payment is due in three installments as follows:
- Upon registration - $450
- February 1st - $262.50
- April 1st - $262.50
Other costs include tours (depending on age group - overseas), tournament travel, travel camps, and the purchase of a uniform.
