October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
Many organizations, including our own clubs and teams, have been very active in supporting this cause in a variety of ways over the years. This year, the Long Island Junior Soccer League is planning a small recognition day at the Peter C. Collins Soccer Park in Plainview for October 14th (details coming soon!). But we want to know what YOU are doing!
Is your club or team taking part in a fundraiser, a pink ribbon or Breast Cancer Awareness event, or raising awareness by wearing pink socks or jerseys at your games?
LET US KNOW - so we can let everyone else know!
If your player, team, or club is taking part in Breast Cancer Awareness month, or any community or charitable effort, please reach out to us on our Facebook page, our Twitter account, or e-mail us at email@example.com and give us the details, send us pictures and video, or give us dates and locations so the rest of the LIJSL can support your efforts.
We are proud of the giving and caring spirit displayed by so many teams and clubs throughout the league and thank you for your efforts on and off the field!
