A 2-1 win over Nuremberg last weekend made Eintracht Frankfurt the first newly promoted team in the Bundesliga's 50-year history to win its first four games.
Eintracht Frankfurt is tied
at the top of the standings on 12 points with Bayern Munich, the only other perfect team after four games. Defending champion Borussia Dortmund is in fourth with seven points.
"I think we
showed we’re a strong team," said Erwin Hoffer, who scored against Nuremberg. "We will have to see what happens from game to game but, of course, we’re very happy with
what we’ve already achieved."
Eintracht Frankfurt, a Bundesliga founding member, returned to the top flight this season after one year in the second division.
