[FALL 2012] The U.S. under-17 men’s national team residency roster for the 2012 fall semester includes 31 players. It's the first class picked by U-17 head coach Richie Williams since he replaced Wilmer Cabrera last winter.

Only one half of Cabrera's initial 32-player class from a year ago and 20 of the 31 players from the spring class are still in Bradenton.

Eleven new players join the roster for the semester including four born in 1997: Sebastian Elney, Malcolm Jones, Peter Schropp and Ben Swanson. In total, six players were born in 1997, while the remaining 25 were born in 1996.

Chivas USA and the New York Red Bulls lead all clubs with three players each from their academy program in residency.

“We think we’ve assembled a very strong roster and we look forward to working with all the players coming back and the new players coming in this semester,” said Williams, a former Red Bulls assistant coach. “We hope to continue to develop the players both individually and collectively so we can be successful on the field.”
